 Welcome To Margie's Therapeutic Touch...

Kombucha Tea

Kombucha Tea is healthy and refreshing.   It is a traditional fermented beverage used in many cultures to promote well-being.  It tastes somewhat like a sparkling apple cider with a tang of vinegar, depending on how long it ferments, though it also now comes in a ginger flavor.  The benefits to the physical body vary widely. It is said to enhance the immune system. By detoxifying the body, it makes it unlikely for disease causing bacteria and viruses to find a suitable growth environment. This results in a healthier physical body!   Kombucha is a popular health promoting beverage and natural folk remedy made by fermenting tea. The Kombucha culture looks like a white rubbery pancake. It is a symbiotic culture of yeast and other microorganisms. The culture is placed in sweetened black or green tea and turns the tea into a sea of health giving acids and nutrients. The Kombucha culture feeds on the sugar and, in exchange, produces other valuable substances which change into the drink: glucuronic acid, glucon acid, lactic acid, vitamins, amino acids, antibiotic substances, and other products. The Kombucha culture is, therefore, a real tiny biochemical factory.

WHAT IS KOMBUCHA TEA?
It is a sweet-sour, fermented, acidic, slightly carbonated beverage, which has been described as either a wine that tastes like a delicious tea or an unusual tea that tastes like a rare wine.

There are claims that Kombucha tea is a "fountain of youth elixir" used in China for thousands of years. It is purported to be a ancient tonic created by growing a so-called Manchurian mushroom on sweetened tea. The history and lore surrounding Kombucha imply an element of magic. Used in China for centuries during sacred rites of atonement, received, passed down, and transported all over the world, there is a ritual and tradition in the telling and the making of Kombucha tea that imbue it with an alchemy of mystery and power. The mystical aspect of Kombucha tends to attract and convert many people in search of perfect health and longevity.

" I was first introduced to Kombucha tea by Margie when I went for a Lypossage massage to improve my digestion.  I was amazed that along with the lymphatic drainage and Myofascial  massage, this tea helped my bowel movement.  I enjoy the refreshing taste of the fresh ginger she ads to it."

Tell Me About Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is fundamentally a preventative, corrective and rehabilitative process of natural, drug-free health care. It is a hands-on process, quite literally, to manipulate and physically aid the body's muscles and soft tissue in recovery. With the skill and experience of registered massage therapists, your specific injury, dysfunction, or stress-related condition are positively affected by massage therapy.

What Happens During A Massage Treatment?

During a treatment, your massage therapist will use stretching, therapeutic techniques, and massage therapy while working with you to achieve balance and improve your life. A healthy lifestyle is also encouraged.

Massage therapists assess and correct many imbalances and dysfunctions within the body's soft tissues where injuries, stress, and other ailments are stored. Each individual has unique needs, and each treatment will be somewhat different based on each body's response to treatment, however, the process remains the same.

Massage therapy promotes overall well-being, including that associated with loss or emotional stress.
