  • Ways to care for your lymphs at home:
    1.Alkalize your diet.
  • Eat more fruits and veggies and lessen the amount of meats, breads, grains, dairy, processed or junk food. Try to shoot for a diet that is 60-70% alkaline and 30-40% acid. (See chart for list of Alkaline Foods)
  • 2.Herbal Support
  • Quest Herbal Mix is the herb that is most effective in helping reduce inflammation.* Several of our clients have seen significant results in support of lymph-related reproductive or health related issues.
  • 3.Re-Hydrate
  • Sip plain, hot water every 10-15 minutes throughout the day for two weeks.
  • Drink 1/2 your ideal body weight in ounces of room temperature water a day.
  • 4.Skin Brush and Rebound
  • Soft bristle hair brush to dry brush skin before your shower or bath. Raw silk gloves are used to exfoliate the skin. With vigorous brushing, the silk gloves also create static electricity, which is known to alkalize the blood and help move the lymph.
  • The rebounding motion stimulates all internal organs, vertical motion is much more beneficial and efficient than horizontal motion workouts, such as jogging or running. This exercise directly strengthens the immune system.
  • Margie's Wellness Center in Davie, Florida, brings to her clients, the hands-on electro lymphatic drainage techniques that are made up of slow, subtle, gently sweeping movements, mimicking the rhythmic pumping of the lymphatic fluid through the body. The Lymphstar Pro utilizes light and sound to decongest trapped proteins and congestion within lymph nodes and the lymph system, allowing waste products and toxins to slowly erode and safely flow out through normal channels.

The lymphatic system works in close cooperation with other body systems to perform these important functions, the lymphatic system aids the immune system in destroying pathogens and filtering waste so that the lymph can be safely returned to the circulatory system.

Another function of the lymphatic system is to remove excess fluid, waste, debris, dead blood cells, pathogens, cancer cells, and toxins from these cells and the tissue spaces between them.

In lymphedema affected tissues, the lymph is unable to drain properly. Instead within these swollen tissues the protein-rich lymph becomes stagnant. When bacteria enter this fluid through a break in the skin, they thrive on this protein-rich fluid. It is for this reason that lymphedema affected tissues are prone to infections.

The lymphatic flow functions normally when there is physical activity and a healthy circulatory system. Stagnation of the lymph occur anywhere along the system creating congestion and thicker lymphatic fluid. Scar tissue created by surgery, injuries, radiation therapy, and removal of the lymph structure cause lymph flow blockage. Some of the results of this are sinus infection, headaches, menopause symptoms, tender cystic breasts, swelling, fatigue and chronic pain syndromes, skin infections, psoriasis, asthma and allergies, cancer, premature aging.

Some people are born with lymphatic diseases, but most others have it because of trauma, surgeries, and poor health habits. The life we live in now with all the modern technology has eventually added to impair the lymph function. Things like lack of exercise, tight clothing, unhealthy foods, electronic and chemical pollution, chronic stress, poor sleep, air pollution, drugs, pesticides, and herbicides.

The equipment we have been successful to daily perform the manual lymphatic drainage is the following:

Lymphatic therapy may be helpful for any imbalanced condition of the system as part of a holistic approach to health restoration or maintenance. It is compatible and synergistic with all forms of naturopathic medicine (herbs, nutrition, supplements), bodywork and structural therapies, bio-energy medicine techniques (homeopathy, polarity, radionics, vibrational remedies, electro dermal, etc.), and under the advice of a physician, medical care.  The process of lymphatic drainage is very helpful for those that have undergone reconstructive surgery of mastectomy after Cancer has been detected, or lymph nodes have been removed during the surgery.

She really gives you personal attention and is very professional. I highly recommend her. God bless you Margie!!" __ Consuelo R. Pembroke Pines, FL

"I truely enjoyed my lymphatic drainage session with Margie yesterday! The environment is very relaxing! I'm looking forward to our next session as I understand that it takes several sessions to get out the toxins from the lymphatics in my body. Makes sense since I've never had this service. Looking forward to the next session as I left feeling very relaxed." __Shanna S,Ft Lauderdale, FL
